 UFORTE: Day 6

IMG_3495

After a nice night in a real bed we got up and decided to leave the country. So we walked across the bridge to Mexico and headed for the market in Jaurez!

This market was amazing. You want a Nacho Libre mask and cape? They've got it! And about a million other things! We had good times and then had some beverages before getting back into a cab for the border. During the cabride we were given a long speech about how everyone should speak Spanish because Mexican men make great husbands. Our cab driver might have even offered his sons to us... and then he dropped us off at the wrong bridge! Lame.

After coming back into the country, Stephanie's dad took us to dinner at this huge restaurant/farm/zoo/ranch for dinner. It's called Cattleman's Ranch and it's HUGE! We followed Stephanie's dad and girlfriend and discovered that his girlfriend has quite the lead foot! But we finally caught up on the highway and after some really really good steak we had to go visit the goats! See the cute baby?

And when we came upon this Indian Maze we were a little worried about getting lost, knowing these two directionally challenged members of our group... Good thing Kaitlin was there to lead us out!

And then it was on to the playground. We found slides, tunnels, treehouse-like buildings and a swing set! Who wouldn't want to swing?!

After leaving the ranch, we drove up on one of the many mountains to get a great view of the city. Unfortunately this is not a very good picture. But it was pretty cool.

And that was Day 6. Our only day that didn't involve hours of driving!

I have a picture of that exact same sign on the exact same bridge to Juarez.
